Why I wrote this book

I spent years feeling angry, lost, sad, and disappointed with myself and the way my life turned out.
For years, my weeks felt the same.
High on drugs, reliving the same patterns of guilt, shame, hatred, and disgust—sprinkled with short moments of happiness when I’d see my kids.

Eventually, I learned that my beliefs and actions were the things keeping me stuck.
I had to embrace new ideas in order to get different results.

I had to learn how to let go of the person I had become and rebuild the life I wanted—one belief and one decision at a time.

I know there are people still stuck where I once was.
And I know these ideas, when applied, can help them get out—just like they helped me.

From There to Here doesn’t promise quick fixes.
It helps you understand why you keep repeating the same patterns, ending up in the same place—and what to do differently.
